The medical imaging project is co-financed by the European Interreg-Caribbean programme. As such, until 31 December 2023, it is aimed primarily at OECS countries, particularly Dominica and Montserrat. In 2024, we plan to extend it to all Caribbean countries wishing to benefit from the care offered by our health establishment.

Public health establishments in Guadeloupe are organised into a "Territorial Hospital Grouping” (GHT by its French acronym). The principle of a GHT in France is to pool medical resources and equipment and to distribute medical activities across a territory. In this case, Guadeloupe.
This type of organisation contributes to the roll-out of a wider range of care by enabling all patients to access the treatment they require in a hospital other than our own, if we do not have this service in-house. For example, a medical imaging procedure that cannot be carried out at the Marie Galante Hospital can be performed at the University Hospital of Guadeloupe. In this case, our establishment will refer the patient to the relevant health facility and we will manage the patient's care administratively.
Patients wishing to access our medical imaging services have several options for organising their sojourn in Guadeloupe. They can come on their own or use a service provider who will organise their arrival and stay in Guadeloupe.
